Every completed Premier League deal in the 2025 winter transfer window

The winter transfer window is rarely a dull affair, even if it’s often less exciting than its sister version in the summer. But rest assured rumours will swirl around from the get-go as teams scrap for every advantage they can get in a bid to make a success of their respective campaigns.

In the Premier League, the battling is as fierce as ever, with an open race for the Champions League emerging amid the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all underperforming, while Chelsea have joined Arsenal in trying to create something of a title race which is looking increasingly one-sided thanks to Liverpool.

At the other end, Southampton are in danger of setting all the wrong kinds of records given their lowly points haul at the halfway stage, while fellow promoted side Ipswich Town may need a miracle or two in the second half of the season to stay up themselves.

All this means a potentially frantic rush to bolster squads as suspensions hit and injuries bite ahead of a packed start to 2025 – particularly for those in European and cup contention.

As all 20 clubs in the top flight seek changes to their teams, we’ve got every deal from every Club since the opening day of the window, right up to the deadline on Monday 3rd February.

5 players who could leave Arsenal this January

Aston Villa

Total spent: £27.4m

Malen-Aston-Villa

Aston Villa made the Premier League’s first major January splurge as they spent an initial £19m on Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen. In a deal which could rise to £21.5m with add-ons, the transfer sees Malen return to England having previously been a member of Arsenal’s youth team.

The Dutchman’s arrival will pose fresh questions over Jhon Duran’s future, with the Villa super-sub rumoured to be on the move this summer before starting the season in red-hot form.

There could yet be more additions before the month is out as Unai Emery continues to shape his squad ahead of the Champions League knockout stages.

Brentford are enjoying another stable Premier League campaign, with the Bees’ impressive home form providing the foundation for a steady season with no fears over relegation.

Still intent on ending the year on a high, Thomas Frank has brought in promising young defender Michael Kayode from Fiorentina, with his loan deal including an option for him to become a permanent Brentford player in the summer.

It has otherwise been a low-key window for the west Londoners, who have also seen a raft of fringe players go out on loan.

Brighton made the first big deal of the January window, albeit through their agreement to sign midfielder Diego Gomez in December. They will pay MLS side Inter Miami £11m for the Paraguayan, who becomes Fabian Hurzeler’s first signing of the winter.

The Seagulls have had some promising results in the opening half of the Premier League season, so their placing of 10th heading into 2025 is somewhat underwhelming.

However, they remain firmly in the race to return to European Football at the first time of asking under their new head coach, who has overseen victories over Man City and Spurs in his opening months at the helm.

Crystal Palace

Total spent: £14.5m

Crystal Palace spent big to sign Romain Esse from fellow south Londoners Millwall, with the teenager grabbing his first goal in Eagles colours during their recent defeat to Brentford.

Oliver Glasner’s side have largely recovered from a poor start to the campaign to steer clear of relegation bother, so the Austrian may be content with his squad as they appear set to comfortably secure another season in the top flight.

Ipswich Town

Total spent: £20m

kieran-mckenna-ipswich-town-chelsea-premier-league

Ipswich Town may be among the favourites to go down, but they certainly won’t be going down with a whimper – particularly if their January business is anything to go by.

After failing to secure a deal in the summer, the Tractor Boys reignited their interest in ex-Hull City star Jaden Philogene as his move back to Aston Villa went stale. Kieran McKenna will hope it is £20m well spent, while his other recruits this month have seen him bring in more top-flight experience.

Ben Godfrey has temporarily returned from Serie A outfit Atalanta, with the former Everton ace bolstering the East Anglians’ defence. Julio Enciso has had a tricky time of late with injuries, and amid a lack of opportunities under Fabian Hurzeler at Brighton, the Paraguayan has sealed a switch to Portman Road until the end of the season.

£50m Robbo heir, Galactico star: 5 players Liverpool should sign this month

Pep-Guardiola-1

After seemingly falling off the charts as far as their latest title defence is concerned, Pep Guardiola has reacted by securing three big-money January signings (and counting). The first new arrival was Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov, while he was joined by fellow defender Vitor Reis as the Spaniard sought to remedy his ageing backline.

City then welcomed the biggest Premier League signing of the new year when they acquired the signature of Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt. The Egyptian joins having only been out-scored in the German Bundesliga by Harry Kane, with his £63m transfer (including add-ons) only rivalled by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s switch to PSG thus far.

Whether their heavy winter outlay will pay off in the second half of the campaign remains to be seen, but with rumours swirling over the futures of some of Guardiola’s stars, he may well have future-proofed this City side in any case.

Amorim-Man-Utd-Premier-League

It appears that the clearout at Old Trafford for Ruben Amorim has already begun, with Antony becoming the first high-profile exit under the Portuguese coach’s regime.

Rumours persist over the future of Alejandro Garnacho as Amorim continues to shape his squad, while there have been no incomings as of yet – perhaps down to the millions spent in the summer amid warnings from the Club over their lack of legroom with regard to the Premier League’s PSR constraints.

Christopher Nkunku has been touted as a potential arrival to bolster a blunt United attack, with the Red Devils heading into the last week of the window having scored more than just five Premier League clubs.

ange-postecoglou-tottenham-premier-league

Tottenham Hotspur have not had the greatest of starts to the season, and their lack of squad options at times this term suggests they may well be busy over the next few weeks.

Their first incoming may not improve their squad depth too much, as youngster Yang Min-hyeok might not get substantial first-team game time immediately.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has already made an impression, keeping a clean sheet on debut against Liverpool before repeating the trick away at Tamworth in the FA Cup following his £12.5m move from Slavia Prague.

Ange Postecoglou will surely be on the lookout for more effective transfers over the upcoming month as Spurs seek to escape the bottom half and qualify for Europe again as they juggle their own Europa League commitments in the new year.

New Wolves boss Vitor Pereira wasted no time getting stuck into the January market by welcoming Reims centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou to Molineux as he bolstered his defence.

Given Wolves still have the leakiest defence in the Premier League, the addition of the Ivorian is not before time. Whether there will be more before the window’s end remains to be seen, but things have already started to look up following the Old Gold’s dismal start to the campaign.
