Latest Arsenal transfer rumours
Transfers in
Leroy Sane: Bayern Munich and ex-Manchester City winger Leroy Sane is on Arsenal’s radar this summer – and is thought to be keen on a move to London. This comes amid apparent uncertainty around his future in Bavaria, and “big fan” Mikel Arteta could be poised to pounce for the German.
Mikel Merino: Arsenal are reportedly preparing a bid for Spain midfielder Mikel Merino. The Euro 2024 winner is thought to have been contacted by compatriot Arteta personally, while a deal is expected to cost around £25m despite Merino entering the final year of his deal at Real Sociedad.
More recently, it has been claimed that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with the former Newcastle United midfielder.
Viktor Gyokeres: Recent reports in Italy have claimed Arsenal are “focused” on bringing Viktor Gyokeres to the Club. Despite having a release clause of around £86m, a deal worth £60m is apparently within reach. The Swede was a goal machine for Sporting CP last term, netting 46 times in 2023/24 for the Portuguese champions.

The best strikers in the world right now (Ranked)
These players all know where the back of the net is – but who can claim to be the best in the world?
Victor Osimhen: Arsenal are reportedly back in for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen having previously switched attentions to other targets. However, there is thought to be competition from the likes of London rivals Chelsea, while the Nigerian’s release clause is set at a whopping £109m.
Daniel Bentley: After seeing a £50,000 bid rejected earlier in the summer, Arsenal could return with an improved offer to Wolves for their backup goalkeeper. Bentley could become a replacement for Aaron Ramsdale, who may not be keen playing second fiddle once again next season.
While there are ongoing talks, the latest reports suggest that Bentley could depart for around £1m, though staying at Wolves is not out of the question, either.
Ezequiel Fernandez: Arsenal have made contact with the representatives of Ezequiel Fernandez amid claims he is ready to test himself abroad. Currently at Boca Juniors, there appears to be plenty of teams looking at the Argentinian, mainly from Spain.
However, there has not been a formal approach as yet, and with only weeks of the window remaining, things would have to move quickly from here.
Raphinha: Reports in Spain claim that Arsenal are preparing a £42m bid for Raphinha, though there is plenty of competition for his services as Barcelona could be open to a sale. Mikel Arteta tried to bring Raphinha to north London upon his departure from Leeds United two years ago, but failed with his bid for the Brazilian.
While the winger is in demand, it has also been stated that Barcelona could do business with a bid north of £50m.
Sergi Roberto: Over the weekend, it was suggested that Arsenal were hoping to hijack Barcelona’s efforts to keep Sergi Roberto at the Club. The midfielder is technically now a free agent following the expiry of his contract, but Barca are interested in prolonging his career in Spain.
It was also claimed that he was attracted to the prospect of playing in the Premier League, which could swing things in the Gunners’ favour should their interest persist.
Transfers out
Fabio Vieira: Arsenal are not keen on selling Fabio Vieira this summer, despite reported interest from across Europe and Saudi Arabia. The Gunners see him as an important part of their squad having rejected all approaches for the Portuguese so far this summer. Vieira scored in Arsenal’s recent pre-season fixture against Bournemouth in the United States.
Eddie Nketiah: Marseille have made an improved offer of around £16.8m for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah. It has been said that the 25-year-old is keen on a switch to Ligue 1, where he could link up with former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.
Previous reports had also claimed that personal terms had been agreed between the French outfit and the Gunners ace.
Reiss Nelson: Another forward who could be on the move is Reiss Nelson, who has spent most of his Arsenal career on the fringes of the first team. Nelson is thought to be of interest to Leicester City and West Ham United, though with the Hammers reportedly close to a deal for Crysencio Summerville and in talks over a move for Niclas Fullkrug, the Foxes could be about to assume pole position.
Aaron Ramsdale: Despite interest in the Gunners’ No 2 goalkeeper, there appears to be some difficulty in Arsenal offloading Aaron Ramsdale this summer. Recent reports have stated that amid the England ‘keeper’s desire to leave, he could be allowed to leave on loan for next term if a satisfactory offer is not forthcoming.
Southampton and Chelsea have been among those interested during the window, though the Blues have recently signed Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal.

Riccardo Calafiori is the standout arrival so far for the Gunners this summer, with David Raya’s loan turning permanent the only other incoming so far. Arsenal are yet to receive a transfer fee this summer, though Emile Smith Rowe is on the verge of securing a move to Fulham worth a reported initial fee of £27m.
Elsewhere, Mohamed Elneny has departed for the Middle East, while Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares will spend next season away from north London once again, with neither player seemingly part of the long-term future at the Club.
