Football FanCast brings you the latest Chelsea transfer round-up.
The Blues’ transfer window has been an intriguing one so far as Enzo Maresca builds his Chelsea team following his move from Leicester City. The Italian has already seen £54m worth of talent come through the doors at Stamford Bridge, with plenty more sure to come before the 30th August deadline.
Todd Boehly has plenty of big calls to make if they are to improve on their 2023/24 Premier League performance next term, but who else is the Club eyeing up on the transfer front this summer? Here is the lowdown on the current rumours involving Chelsea.

Latest Chelsea transfer rumours
Transfers in
Aaron Anselmino: Chelsea are thought to be close to sealing a deal for the Boca Juniors centre-back, though the Blues are still currently in talks over a move which is “deemed close”, as per BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.
Gleison Bremer: The Blues are reportedly one of four clubs interested in signing Juventus defender Gleison Bremer. Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all registered their interests in luring the Brazilian.
Reports in Italy are suggesting that he is not for sale, though Juventus could require a fee of around €70m (£59m) in order to do business.
Renato Veiga: Chelsea are expected to announce the signing of Renato Veiga very soon, with recent reports claiming they have moved ahead of the competition to win the race for his signature.
Spanish outlet AS believes the Blues are now the only Club involved in negotiations and could soon sign him for around £12m.
Samu Omorodion: Enzo Maresca is reportedly keen to add Atletico Madrid teenager Samu Omorodion to his squad as he seeks competition for Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea, though it is believed the Blues have already failed in a £42m bid for the youngster.
Atleti are thought to be hoping for a bid in the region of £70m, with other clubs eyeing up a potential swoop this summer.
Victor Osimhen: A more established striker on Chelsea’s wishlist is Victor Osimhen. The Blues have long been linked with the Nigerian forward, and amid their continued interest, it is thought that Osimhen currently views a move to Chelsea as his best option this summer as he heads towards the exit door at Napoli.
Diogo Costa: Portuguese media have named Chelsea as a possible destination for Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa. However, his team are set to play hardball over any deal this summer, with only his full release clause of £64m allowing Porto to part ways with the shot-stopper.
Ivan Toney: According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea have internally mentioned Ivan Toney as a candidate to bolster their forward ranks. No one could seal a deal when his price tag had risen to £100m, so Brentford will surely have to settle for less if they are to offload the striker ahead of the new season – particularly with the England striker now in the final year of his contract.
Transfers out
Kepa Arrizabalaga: The Spanish goalkeeper is a player who could well be on the move this summer, with the 29-year-old’s future at Chelsea up in the air. It is thought that Kepa wants to return to Real Madrid, but while an offer has not been forthcoming as yet from Carlo Ancelotti’s side, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ittihad – where N’Golo Kante plays – have apparently made a bid for his services.
It is unknown whether a Madrid return is possible, but the future of Andriy Lunin could hold the key amid this latest bid from Saudi Arabia.
Carney Chukwuemeka: Milan have emerged as prime candidates to sign Carney Chukwuemeka this summer. It is thought that the Rossoneri could seek an initial loan move, perhaps with a clause inserted to ensure he eventually moves permanently. Chukwuemeka is believed to have a release clause of £40m.
Romelu Lukaku: Reports from Spain claim that Napoli have emerged as frontrunners to sign Romelu Lukaku. Chelsea have struggled to offload the Belgian since his £97.5m move turned sour, but a permanent switch looks more likely than ever.
Milan have been in talks, but amid their failure to agree a deal, Antonio Conte’s arrival in Naples could see the former Inter duo link up once more. Lukaku is also thought to favour a switch to the Partenopei.
Ben Chilwell: Maresca is reportedly happy to allow Ben Chilwell to find a new Club this summer, with Marc Cucurella thought to be his preferred option at left-back. Given PSR concerns and the Englishman’s £200,000-per-week wages, this is perhaps no surprise. Interestingly, Manchester United have emerged as potential candidates for his signature.

Latest Chelsea transfers 2024/25
Chelsea started their summer business with the arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from west London rivals Fulham. Following the departure of Thiago Silva, Tosin is a welcome addition at centre-back, with more in that area potentially to come for the Blues.
Elsewhere, Maresca has brought in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from former Club Leicester for big money, while their other arrivals are also exciting prospects – particularly Barcelona striker Marc Guiu, who has arrived for a handy £5m fee.
The headline departure so far has been Ian Maatsen to Aston Villa, while Omari Hutchinson saw his loan move to Ipswich Town made permanent after helping the Tractor Boys secure promotion to the Premier League last term.
Balancing the books has been a key feature of their deals so far, with the departure of big earners like Hakim Ziyech a further sign of this.
